The Levante International School was purchased by the SEK International Institution on July 1, 1994. The school, formerly known as Colegio Calicanto, had been founded in 1970 by a prestigious group of professionals in the field of education.LIS is located in the residential area of Calicanto, 7 km. (4 miles) away from Torrente and 15 km. (9 miles) away from Valencia, next to the Autovía del Mediterráneo, A-7 (Highway of the Mediterranean, A-7). Its excellent academic and sports facilities, surrounded by nature, have brought the School prestige and enabled it to grow since its foundation.
