Beyond location and networking access, the Cox School of Business offers prospective students a variety of degree choices. M.B.A. candidates can choose among a 22 month, full-time M.B.A.; a two year, part-time track offered evenings and weekends in Dallas and Plano, Texas; and an executive M.B.A. program that meets on alternating weekends in Dallas.

Cox also offers master of science degrees in accounting, finance, management, and entrepreneurship, as well as two joint degree options: a J.D./M.B.A. combo with the Dedman School of Law, and a joint M.A./M.B.A. degree in business and arts management with the Meadows School of Arts.

Outside of the classroom, M.B.A. students gain real-world and research experience at one of the schools 13 Centers of Excellence, including the O’Neil Center for Global Markets and Freedom and the JC Penney Center for Retail Excellence. Students can also build their networking and team building skills through a variety of academic and intramural clubs on campus.

Notable alumni from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University include Thomas Horton, chairman, president, and CEO of AMR Corp. and American Airlines; and Eckhard Pfeiffer, former president and CEO at Compaq Computer Corporation.
