The Isenberg School of Management at University of Massachusetts--Amherst (Isenberg) offers these departments and concentrations: entrepreneurship, finance, health care administration, and marketing. Strong scores in the GMAT/GRE and TOEFL, if applicable, along with academic excellence must be present. Additionally, progression in professional experience and clarity of career purpose and program fit are examined through the resume, personal statement, and letters of recommendation. Interviews (invitation only) are used to evaluate the candidate's presentation, soft skills, and fit for the program.
Part-time MBA applications are evaluated based on the self-reported information and official materials submitted as part of the admissions process: work experience, past academic achievement, personal statement, official GMAT or GRE score (unless waived), official academic transcript(s), at least two letters of recommendation, and professional resume. Application deadlines: June 01 for Fall, October 01 for Spring, February 01 for Summer.

First-year Isenberg MBA students complete 9 to 10 core courses, plus a professional development course. The core is integrated and hands-on with an emphasis on teaching students critical thinking and quantitative skills. Second-year students customize their MBA degree with elective courses and independent studies, and have the option to take part in a semester-long field consulting project.
The Part-time MBA Program allows quality learning tailored to the student’s life / work schedule and timetable for degree completion. The curriculum includes two foundation courses (if applicable), eleven core courses, and three elective credits. Students have the option of completing courses at any of our three satellite campuses in Massachusetts: Springfield, Shrewsbury, and Boston as well as online; students can take a combination of live, in-person and online classes.
