The law school campus is about six miles from downtown Richmond, Virginia’s capital that is home to law firms, corporations, courts and more. It is about two hours from Washington, D.C.

At the University of Richmond School of Law, students can take electives to focus their legal studies in certain areas, including real estate law, corporate law and litigation. There are also dual degree options available at the School of Law, such as a J.D./MBA offered in conjunction with the University of Richmond E. Claiborne Robins School of Business and a J.D./Master’s of Urban Studies and Planning offered with the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Urban Studies and Planning. In addition, law students have the option to complete an individually created dual degree through other University of Richmond academic departments or another school, as long as they only take law courses during the first year of study.

For students who want to get involved out of class, there are a variety of clubs, organizations, associations and societies to consider, including the Federalist Society and the Animal Law Society.
