No Place Like Wellesley

By Wendy, Class of 2019, From Boston, MA

One of the most challenging and stimulating places you can spend your undergraduate education. Wellesley is truly an incomparable place filled with students of the top calibre. The community is diverse, progressive, and well-rounded. Students go on to amazing jobs and graduate programs. It's also wonderful having Boston accessible on the hour by bus.

Truly exceptional

By Laura, From Illinois

You can do almost anything you can think of at this college...and a whole lot you had never even thought of too! Opportunities are limitless, campus is beautiful, the administration is supportive and very engaged, and the approach to education makes you versatile, forever-interested in learning and ready to take on whatever it is you want to do. Post graduation affiliation is super-strong, and friendships are intense and lifelong.

Fantastic Educational Institution

By Class of 2016, From TX

If I did everything over again, I would absolutely choose Wellesley College. The all-female classroom and campus provided a haven of education. Everyone knew why they went to Wellesley: to become a strong female leader in their discipline. Having Wellesley in my resume has aided my professional reputation and granted me access to a robust and valuable alumna association.

A Fine Place to Learn, An Atypical Place to Live.

By Erika H, Class of '10, From Houston, TX

Wellesley is at once a paradise and a sweater knit too tightly. Incomparable beauty of the campus is coupled with nearly unending student resources and activities. And the place is not like any other in the country or world. I say this having gone to an all-girls prep school! Whether looking to play Division II sports or on recreational teams, run a radio show, be on an executive board, or simply sit quietly by the lake reading, Swelles has something for everybody—really. One cannot deny the quality of the education a young woman can receive here, and that ought not to be underplayed. The town of Wellesley is extremely small and quaint, but Boston is only half an hour away by bus, and students often take advantage of this convenience. Cambridge is an awesome place to hang out and there is so much good food and entertainment, you're not likely to be bored. You'll be too busy anyway. "Wellesley College: We'll sleep when we're dead!" (But really, do remember to sleep.)

Leadership training of the highest caliber

By Wendy, Class of 2003, From Oakland, California

The professors are world-class, and since there are no teaching assistants, you get to build real, mentoring relationships with them. Coursework is focused on critical thinking, discovery, and analysis, so that every graduate has a specialty, but is also deeply well-rounded. And it's rigorous. Grading on a curve? Yeah, you won't find that at Wellesley. Which makes it even sweeter when you earn that A. This isn't a place where you can go unnoticed. All incoming students are assigned a "big sister" as well as a first-year mentor that helps you navigate that critical first year...It's the start to feeling truly welcomed into a sisterhood. There's a very strong financial aid program so that all women who wish to attend are able to do so. It's something I am grateful for. From the moment you step on campus, there's a focus on cultivating leaders--women who will make a difference in the world. Given the myriad organizations available, everyone I knew had a leadership role on something--which was a great training ground for me and others, who now have senior positions across business, government, and civil society. And if you were ever in doubt, take a look at the alumnae. That's why I ultimately decided to go--Wellesley has an incredible track record of graduating strong and influential women.
