Great Engineering School

The co-op program is amazing and gives real word experience to students that employers look for. Class sizes are small with great teachers.

Great school great education model

Kettering University turned out to be better than I thought. The coop education model is very special. After graduating from Kettering, I received a full scholarship to University of Michigan for my first graduate education and then another full scholarship to MIT and MIT Sloan school of Management. It turns out that Kettering has a very good track record with these elite schools. My hope is that Kettering could take this coop model internationally. I am convinced that the model would help universities and industries around the world.

The Best Career Choice You Could Ever Make

I would most definitely recommend Kettering University to any student interested in studying engineering. As a graduating high school student I was offered various job opportunities at the Big Three and Tier 1 auto suppliers and ended up spending the summer between high school and college working for Fiat Chrysler. I had similar responsibilities and projects as other engineers and was offered far more job assignments then "paper pusher" interns from the University of Michigan or Ohio State who were more than three years into their degree program. Since then I have continued to do rotations at FCA that I have come to enjoy and appreciate. The skills and experience you have at an employer are much better then anything you would ever learn at MIT, the University of Michigan, Kettering, or anywhere else, because you are literally working in the real world. If you are attempting to jump start and build a career then Kettering is the place for you. If you want to party every night and not focus on academics, you will not last long here.
