Grand Canyon University User Reviews and Ratings

Amazing School

By Future Doctor from Illinois, From Illinois

I love my experience with Grand Canyon University's Doctoral Program. After earning degrees from other institutions over the years I have been able to compare my experiences and GCU is hands down the best. I also deal with many individuals that discuss their college experiences be what they may through horrific stories, bad experiences. Last, I live a town over from Northern Illinois University and you could not pay me to ever attend that college. My Bachelor's Degree was Summa Cumm Laude in addition to my Master's Degree. I could have gone to many colleges for my Doctorate but feel my decision to attend GCU was the best and right choice. GO LOPES

Great School.

By Kage, From Massachusetts

GCU is a great school for online students. The student counselors are ALWAYS available (including Saturdays). I am a 3rd year psychology major and as a disabled person, they have incredible programs that allow me to stay current with my classes. I would recommend GCU to anyone.

Misleading

By Shaunie D., From Phoenix, AZ

Unless you yourself of a family have experience in navigating the throes of university life, I would avoid enrolling at GCU. I've had to contact my advisor MULTIPLE times in reference to my financial aid and why I was being notified that the school took out a $15,000 loan which was never discussed as well as had to have her physically write out to me how it is that they disburse their financial aid packages as their system is skewed. I've had some AMAZING instructors, I've also had instructors who have no business teaching. Overall, the cohort program that I'm enrolled in is what I've made it, but has had no real structure.

Best support

By RB, From Georgia

GCU over all is an excellent educatuonal experience. The services help in all aspects of educational support. The teachers are always at the support of their students. Honestly, since the acceptance to graduation, GCU was there to support to make sure I succeeded. The students have to do the work, but GCU accepted me in and I felt my part was to do the work. I remember one night pulling an all-nighter because I waited until the last moment. That was the last time I left things for the last minute. Even after graduating with a 3.94 GPA, I cannot say it was easy. But counting all work and reasings were completed, then it was easy. More impotantly, having a Christ centered education was worth more than the money invested for the degree.

Amazing school, amazing people

By Cody M, class of 2021, From Hanford, CA

This University is full of the nicest people you could meet! The students are polite, the professors are compassionate, and the spiritual life on campus is easily accessible and fulfilling. The architecture on campus is modern and the facilities are some of the nicest around — you won't regret going here!
